Save the Animal, Save the Nature

Our nature is at stake! Make a click on the pictures of the animal on the sidebar to know more. The nature is a part of our life; king, queen, president, student, pensioner, artist, everyone.

More and more species are exposed to the danger of extinction. Should we do nothing, we are to be blamed. It was us who gave the major contribution to the imbalance of nature. We might not be able to do something significant enough to help this one out. But remember, every little difference we made, make the difference. So let us all join this campaign; for the sake of our nature, and to ensure that our generation of tomorrow that will continue the legacy of today will be able to enjoy what we have today; the blessing, tranquility and the companionship of the glorious nature.

The first step we can make, convey the idea and the information to the public. Bloggers, show the power of this virtual journalism; the power that will impact the real living; the real world!

Hi Akmal, each one of us must play our part, conserve, save, help, grow, make a difference so that future generations can hear the song of a magpie, the cooing of Mereboks, the haunting calls of gibbons and the beautiful jungles of Malaysia,...before its too late. Good Post Akmal. Best regards, UL.

Uncle Lee,
Hi there. Thrilled to see you're the first. I found out this campaign through Pak Idrus. The least I can do, make a posting on it(",).
I enjoy experience the moos of the cows, the mmmbeeeek of the goats and what not. Those are very easy to find at anyone's backyard in kampung. But for the exotic animal, tiger, turtoise, what not, we don't want to have them disappear. They are in danger, and we are responsibled.
Good day Pak(",).

Zawi said...

Akmal,
When Pak Zawi was a small boy, I used to tag along with friends to hunt for birds after arming ourselves with catapults. Lukily I was a bad shooter so I never manage to catch or kill a single bird with my catapults.
I guess it is God's will that I don't kill any such beautiful things he created. Now I am trying to make their numbers grow by letting them use whatever trees, shrubs and even plastic flowers around my house to nest and reproduce.
Learning from our good friend Pak Idrus, I am trying to feed those animals too. Dunno if that is a good thing to do as I dont want them to be dependent on me to provide them with their daily food. I will not be around forever to feed them.

Akmal said...

Pak Zawi,
Thanks for your visit. Well, stories from the past. I had such expeience too, but I only tag along, not armed. My mom will even scold me for having such weapon. "Takut kena mata", she said(",).
You are so sweet Pak, for doing all that for the nature around you. I am sure they will repay you with the joy and satisfaction of doing such good thing. I guess, feeding them is OK. Their instinct will lead them to go on with life; they feel hungry, that is their adventure. Just like the way nature should be(",).
You have a god day Pak(",).

Salam Akmal,
A good post. More should be done about these. And as suggested we might be able to this:
"On the 1st Jan 2008: Blog/Write a post that relates to the Malaysia wildlife conservation. It can be to do with your usual topic or totally just about a Malaysia wildlife conservation issue."
Take care.

Hi Akmal, I like to wish you the best of seasons greetings, happy holidays and a very happy new year.
My best regards to you, UL.

Akmal said...

Pak Zabs,
Thanks for your visit(",).
Well, you are definitely right. I had something in my mind aleady to be posted on the 1st January. No cost at all. Educating people about things like this, well, the impat may be minimal, but like the sayings, 'Every little difference we made, makes the difference'. Imagine thousand of blogs do the same thing, wonders can be done. But everyone's effort is required here(",).
Keep well Pak(",).

Uncle Lee,
He there uncle. Thanks for the return visit, and the sweet greetings. Well, what can I say. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Queens Mary 2 day hahahaha.
You keep well uncle.(",)

hi Akmal,

I am sad about the growing balding of our jungle...whenever i drive along the highways and see the patches of the hills where all rich with lushes green trees gone, my heart just sink...so heart sick and of course with the green gone, where else the animals can go to.....good posting Akmal and keep it up...

Akmal said...

Waliz,
Thanks for your visit(",). Well hey, the pleasure is mine. You have a good site you know?
As for the animal, yes, we human are a bunch of greedy beings. Things happened, no reversal on that. But at least we can help, just what me and others trying to do here. The least I can do is to use some space on the net which are free anyway, to make a posting to educate people on this issue. May not give a big impact, but a saying said every little difference we made make the differences.
You have a nice day Waliz, take care, and come again(",).

Kak Zai,
Thanks for your visit. I am inspired by the posting in Pak Idrus, a campaign being held to help this good cause.
You are right. All the green, yes they are still there, but deteriorating. Should we let thing continue like this, I wonder what kind of future we'll have.
You have a nice day kak(",).

Dear Akmal ...

I would not hesitate to drop by here anytime & start with the ever classic " Dear Akmal ". Tee hee hee.... ( p/s Ayah don't worry... it's only the name. Not the same person).

Agreed 110%!! Sadly enough, just yesterday as I was driving back from Ampang to Rawang via Templer park; the old trunk road ... it was obvious how short sighted our administrators can be. For the name of development, the green hilly sides were practically chopped apart. Slowly being replaced by rows of hutan concrete. I saw a family of monkeys, mommy, daddy & cute little baby running on the power lines, watching the traffic jam. How sad! They must have been evicted without notice from their own natural habitat.

Meanwhile, my back yard is fast turning into a mini zoo of some sort but with only one animal. Meowwwwwww!! 10 ekor of them. Jgn tak caya. The neighbouring piece of land is empty, so the cats roam free heavenly. Hafiz adores the cats. Abang Idin has a turtle. Ameer pulak, he wants a rabbit. Uwaaa... Ibu tak sanggup la nak bela rabbit.

Akmal said...

Ibu,
Thanks for your visit bu. Awesome to,have you here. But who is not the same person(",)?
That is how ugly developement could be. Just for the sake of...I don't know, peoples convenience they say, and perhaps more importantly, money matters(you know how big the bucks come along the chopping off trees right?), all the other beings that share the exact same green pay the price, without even noticing about it. Remember the monkey cage issue that came out on the paper previously? That matter, I don't know how far things are improving. But I bet, when troubles arise from this developement, another episode of blame game will take the place.
Hooo my god, I love cat! Due to my previous episode of asthma, I have to make distance with that furry fellas. But now that the episodes are some kind of history, no problem I guess. Seriously, I love cat. They linger around my house in kampung. Turtle? That is some hobby your kid has there. And rabbit, they are cute don't you think so?
Well, you fostered good values among your children bu, to love the nature, and to be a good being with whatever around us. Welldone, my tabik springs for you(",).
Keep well bu.

Hi Akmal, I came over, you sleeping snoring macham Michael Shumacher's Ferrari at Nurbergring rounding a corner.
I bet you must be having interesting dreams of your trip with Zawi to that IT kedai....and the words, "I am single", arhaaa ha ha.
I am still shaking my head over that, ha ha. UL.

i used to live in USJ 3 subang jaya before moving to my current place now - sg buloh. i used to go shopping at giant there and i remember there were papa monkeys mama monkeys and baby monkeys clinging on the tree branches nearby and we often hand out food like peanuts and bananas to them until years later when we went there recently, another mega shopping complex risen and the monkeys are gone! the place where the shopping complex stands now used to be their playground...sigh! i guess thats the last little jungle in the heart of concrete jungle....all in the name of modernisation and urbanisation

Akmal said...

Uncle Lee,
Hi Uncle, thanks for visiting. Waauuu, still having your head shaken by the word 'single' eh? Hahaha. Hounding word, it is ;D.
Keep well uncle. I am about to go dreaming zzzzzzzz....
ops, another comment popped up.

kc,
hi there. waahhh, nice timing. Just about to call it a night(",).
Yes you are right. Urbanisation, good, but need to be controlled. Should we let the human lust over technology, money, urbanisations like this, the other beings will suffer, and we eventually will too. Re the case of the monkey cage. Things like that should be controlled to. At first, things look OK as they said the trapped monkey will be sent to some jungle. But what happened? They were all left dead in the cage. The authorities we asked about this, and the blame game started. See how irresponsible human can be? We seriously got to do something about this.
You keep well kc.

Yep, betul tuh. Suka atau tak suka, lama-lama gajah tertukar dengan cicak, tak mustahil bleh berlaku. Gajah dah memang terancam pun, semua orang tahu. Tapi berapa ramai yang ambil kisah?
Have a good day.

thanks for your visit. To love, to care, it is just a part of being human; our nature. Just doing my piece to help this good cause, I am sure there are many others out there who are up to do something about this. A small blogger like me, well, not much I can do. But, re what Pak Idrus said before, if all of us do our piece, the result will be BIG(",).
Cheer myfisol, and keep shiny.

Hello Akmal,

God has created our world with all his creations for a reason. Every little thing on this planet supports some other thing. There is that balance already. But with greed and abuse from unscrupulous parties we are now losing that balance. Ravaging our forest for timber, destroying environment for quick bucks development, killing endangered species for tusks, skin and meat!!

So what happens?

We are now plagued with GLOBAL WARMING! This is a huge problem and I think it is a problem to stay.

Environmentalist have issued warnings and shouted out we have only ONE Earth! The big powers that be, who could actually do something about this is not listening.

Nevermind Akmal, you are doing right here at least. You are helping to make the difference at least. Keep up with your good work.

Here's wishing you and loved ones:

A HAPPY AND MEANINGFUL AND SPECIAL NEW YEAR!

Akmal said...

Kak Ruby,
Thanks for your visit.
Global warming, one more BIG problem we have in our pocket(looks like the big guys put them literally in the pocket rather than taking actions). But if you are up there, I am pretty sure you'll fight, and fight, and fight.
Best New Year wishes from me. Take care(",).

changgeh said...

Akmal,
You might not believe it. My backyard were full of birds. The reasons being the jambu batu tree with many fruits ,ripen but no takers. Many a time the branches would creep down covering almost our entrance. If its not for the birds we have it chopped down. But my wife and I were birds lovers. Every other day after subuh prayers both of us with watchful eyes would peep through the kitchen shutter quitely to see our favourite birds jossling, pecking the juicy red jambu.Likewise our mango tree,we make it a point to leave some fruits behind wnenever we went picking.'Untuk burung awak'my wife would say.I would laughed but we know what she meant.
The point here is each and everyone
of us has to do our parts no matter how small it may look to be.
I'm totally agreeable when you say
'every little difference that we made, make the difference.'

Salam and take care.

Akmal said...

Changeh,
I am honoured having you here at my humble blog, one from the generation of my dad.
The bond made between you and the nature sure is strong, and I am happy for that. You have every single reason to protect things you love, things you like, and I can firmly say here that you have the will to protect the nature that soothes you to no end. So do like the rest of us; everyone will somehow have relation with the nature. But like it or not, the current situation is real. More and more animal in Malaysia exposed to the danger of extinction. The question is will we take action or not. Small contribution, big contribution, who cares? We can act to some extent, and believe me, if we all bloggers united on this, we'll make a BIG difference.
You keep well pak changgeh(",).

Bro' Akmal,

Great post and good of you to highlight these serious topics that will affect our children one day. If it hasn't already, that is. But this is the price all developing countries pay I suppose... Sustainable development. Yes, you heard these before from mouths of politicians. But what does it mean I wonder?

P.S. Enjoyed the 'baling selipar' story. When I go home next I hope to teach it to my two boys...Heh.

Akmal said...

BroMS,
Ahahh, the only oil-rig man I know! Thanks for visiting.
Well to be truth, the problems is in our pocket already. Sumatran Rhino can only be found less than 20 worldwide, 17% of our animals are now enlisted as endangeres species.
Developement is necessary. I can safely say that. We human progress that way. But things should be done moderately.
Sustainable developement, well, say whatever they want lah, but walk the talk lah. If not, waste saliva lah.
Yes, sustainable developement, should be in my list of upcoming post. Thanks for the idea bro.
Have a nice day. Oh yes, remember to let your boys use selipar jepun only, or someone gonna get hurt!

Hi Akmal,
Someone ask me a question"If you walked out of your house one morning and saw a bird with broken wing huddled in some nearby bushes, what would yo do?
Never mind you don't have to answer he question...anyway I love to shoot birds ..but not with gun i shoot with my dlsr & 70-300mm lens.Sorry Akmal,,,my shoot tak menjadi always go blur & still looking for sifu to get some tip on birding.
I see you are friends of Pak Idrus & Pak Zawi nice knowledgeable blog by this two gentlemans & your kind of blog too.
Well.yr comand on Pak Zawi blog about 4G wow!!!must be fast..sry to say in KCH 3Gx is just nice if we have this HSPDA moden(I'm using now)but they still need to improve the coverage is limited & sometime they go slow.
Let us be cyber friend & Happy New Year to You.

Akmal said...

uncleawang,
Hi, wow, nice to have you here. Yes I noticed you in Pak Zawi's site. What would I do? What would I do?
Well, we share a common hobby there. I can't help to snap pictures to my heart content, and when will my heart be contented? until my camera battery is fully discharged or my 2 gig memory card run out of memory hahaha. But my camera is the 'ciput' one only, cannot afford that dslr and the lenses, but I'll make sure to have one when I make myself big bucks. Yes, If you want to learn how to use your camera better, check that two photography blogs out in my misc. blogs. in the sidebar. Lots of techniques to be learnt there, and hey they are useful. I learnt about aperture, mapping, ROT, shutterspeed, ISO and bla3x there.
Well, as we use broadband provided by celcom or maxis, we are relying on the GSM signal, which may go haywired especially on festive seasons. 4G provided by iZZi, they don't rely on GSM signal, so generally won't have signal traffic problem. But that thing is very new, so the coverage is pretty limited for now. Fast, yes, but considering that I won't be getting any signal when I am back in Rantau Panjang and I had my Asus T500 HSDPA modem in hand, I subscribed Celcom Broadband. That best option I have.
Uncle, I'm honoured having you as my new cyberpal(",). Have a nice day, happy new year.
